Astaxanthin is extracted on the project site from algae grown inside the building. The faciltity includes numerous pipe utilities including chilled Water, RO water, industrial steam, lab gasses, compressed air, low pressure-high volume compressed air for production and lab exhaust. Stainless piping is used throughout the facility for production, along with large stainless tanks for production, and specialized equipment for processing and packaging the bulk product. A laboratory for initial product start, and one test lab for precursor and product testing was also included.
